The VOX-Pol Lecture Series concludes on Wednesday 29 March, at 7am UK / 6pm Sydney / 8pm New Zealand time with the online presentation titled The Christchurch Call: Preventing Terrorist and Violent Extremist Content Online. Nick Nelson (Massey University) will chair the event.
The speaker is Kristina Kirk from the New Zealand Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. The Christchurch Call arose out of the livestreaming of a horrific terrorist event in New Zealand and is a commitment by Governments and online service providers to eliminate terrorist and violent extremist content online. In this talk, Ms Kristina Kirk, a Principal Advisor to the Call, will background the establishment and evolution of the Christchurch Call, highlighting its achievements as well as future directions.
