The webinar series Through the Looking Glass: How To Incorporate Visual Material Within Research is hosted by the National Centre for Research Methods and organised by the University of Southampton. The webinars feature VOX-Pol members and institutions, and is free and open to all.

This workshop looks at visual analysis, including semiotics – the study of signs and symbols, as well as visual rhetoric and persuasive force. Focus will be placed on the historical and subcultural symbolism displayed within imagery and provide best practices on how to incorporate visual methodologies into research.
